 About Ava Dorfman Senior Center 

The Ava Dorfman Senior Center is a not for profit organization whose purpose is to provide advocacy, services and activities to adults age 50+, that reflect individuals diverse needs and interests, enhances their dignity, supports their independence and encourages their involvement in the community. Inside the Center we offer a wide variety of programs, services and activities. We have a Wellness Center, and as a member you can enjoy the use of our machines and free weights, in a private setting with a personal trainer. You can also join one of our many fitness classes, such as Zumba, Yoga, Line Dancing, Basic Fitness, just to name a few, all taught by certified trainers. We offer a multitude of trips from Casinos to the Arts, both day trips and overnight. Our events include: Comedy Shows, Dinner Dances, Health Expos. Chef Demonstrations with dinner, Cooking Classes and Murder Mysteries. Monthly events include: Blood Pressure clinics, computer classes, Lunch & Learn with guest speakers from ghost hunters to foreign travelers, Live & Learn promotes healthy living techniques, Breakfast, Book Club, Dining for the Dorf and many more.


We also offer a low cost, nutritious noon meal and plan to expand our meal services in 2013.

Our Senior Day Program located on the lower level provides an active day program for individuals with cognitive and functional impairment.
